As we continued our search for our “family ancestors”, it became clear that our family was not only related to the “Braithwaite’s” of England but also to the “Pennington’s” of England. The Pennington family has resided in the Muncaster Castle since the 1200’s. Muncaster Castle is located near Ravenglass in Cumbria. The Pennington family currently reside in Muncaster Castle today. Archeological work that is being done at Muncaster Castle suggests that it may have been the location for a large Roman fort.
